The National Council on Fireworks Safety

Promoting safe and responsible use of consumer fireworks

Tributes in Memory of NCFS Board Members

National Council on Fireworks Safety (“NCFS”) founding Board member, Robert W. Flanagan, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2012. Robert worked in the fireworks industry for decades.   He served the industry in numerous capacities, serving on the Board of the AFSL, the APA and the NCFS.   Robert was passionate about fireworks safety and was a tireless crusader promoting fireworks safety around the country.

Robert’s colleagues and friends all echoed the sentiment that Robert’s passing was a real loss to the fireworks industry and a very sad day for all who knew and loved him.
